A Brief History.

Caroline No is Australian music artist Caroline Kennedy-McCracken. Caroline first fired as a young singer in the post-post-punk furnace of Melbourne’s live music scene, where she wrote and sang for seminal bands The Plums and Deadstar.

The earliest set of Caroline No songs began in the home studio with longtime collaborator Cinema Kid aka Pete McCracken. These became songs for the duos ‘Free Like a Bird’ album. The record was a limited release through one record store in Melbourne, initially under the name The Tulips, and then later under Caroline No.

Twelve new songs written on parlour guitar in regional Victoria and New York are currently being recorded (Bald Hill), with the record due to be released in 2013.
